In January-August Kazakhstan produced 313.3 thousand tons of copper, up by 11.8% YoY.

Zinc output grew by 1.6%, to 216 thousand tons.

At the same time non-ferrous metals ore mining decreased. Thus, zinc concentrate output dropped by 28.7%, to 153.3 thousand tons, and bauxite mining by 20.1%, to 2.8 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
