The Russian government has set up a 1.009-million ton quota for exports of ferrous metal scrap and waste to the countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union starting from September 1 until the end of 2019, the government said in a ruling published on the website for disclosure of data on state procurements.

The Industry and Trade Ministry is to distribute the quota among Russian exporters, while the Economic Development Ministry is to notify the Eurasian Economic Commission and to suggest introduction of quotas for exports of ferrous metal scrap and waste for the whole Eurasian Economic Union.
