In July Kuzbass region mined 5.9 million tons of coking coal, with 2.1 million tons extracted from pits and 3.8 million tons – from mines.
In January-July coking coal output grew by 7.5% YoY, to 44.2 million tons, with pit coal up by 13.2%, to 15.4 million tons, and mined coal – by 4.7%, to 28.8 million tons.
Power-generating coal extraction in July totaled 14 million tons, down by 9% YoY: 11.4 million tons from pits and 2.6 million tons from mines. In 7 months output dropped by 6.9%, to 96.8 million tons: 79.1 million tons at pits and 17.7 million tons at mines.
Factories processed 10.8 million tons of coal in July, including 5.8 million tons of coking coal.
18.6 million tons of coal were sold. End customers received 16.9 million tons, including 12.1 million tons exported, 2.5 million tons supplied to the local metal and by-product coke companies, 1.6 million tons to electric power plants and 0.1 million tons to housing enterprises and population.
