Russia’s gold exports grew by 67% YoY, to 15.78 tons in January-June, the Assay Chamber at the Finance Ministry, responsible for state control over exports and imports of precious metals and stones, said.
Refined silver exports fell by 56.6%, to 212.1 tons, platinum by 2.2%, to 11.56 tons, but palladium grew by 7%, to 45.612 tons.
Exports of gold jewelry, watches and coins rose by 20.1%, to 214.722 kilograms, of silver jewelry by 32.9%, to 724.8 kilograms, but of platinum fell by 64.4%, to 288 grams.
No imports of refined precious metals were registered in the reported period. Imports of golden jewelry, watches and coins rose by 5.8%, to 1.214 tons. Imports of silver jewelry fell by 22.2%, to 21.119 tons, and platinum by 12.9%, to 22.971 kilograms. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
