Russian coal supplies to Ukraine dropped by 85.3% YoY, to 12,300 tons in June after the government introduced a permissive export procedure.

The majority of exporters ceased shipments in the direction, while part of supplies, judging by the statistics data, was redirected bypass through Belarus.

From June 1 Russian companies can supply coal to Ukraine only under permissions provided by the Economic Development Ministry. The measures were introduced in retaliation to restrictions on imports of Russian goods introduced by Kyiv in April. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
