In January-June Ukraine decreased pipes exports by 10% YoY, to 327.8 thousand tons, valued at $361.3 million, up by 9.7%.
According to the State Fiscal Service, the share of pipe exports in the overall volume of foreign trade reached 1.48%.
Ukraine exported 244 thousand tons of seamless pipes valued at $307.9 million, 73.5 thousand tons of other pipes and tubes valued at $44.7 million and 9.7 thousand tons of other pipes and tubes with the diameter from 406.4 mm valued at $7 million.
Almost half of pipes and tubes was sold to US (one third), Germany and Russia. Poland received 43% of other pips and tubes, and more than 64% of other pipes and tubes with the diameter from 406.4 mm were sold to US.
In 6 months Ukraine imported 59 thousand tons of pipes and tubes valued at $95.7 million. China and Russia supplied the most seamless pipes, China and Italy – other pipes and tubes and Turkey – other pipes and tubes with the diameter from 406.4 mm. (Ukrainian metal)
