In March, according to the customs statistics, Russia imported 246.2 thousand tons of rolled steel and pipes from Ukraine, up by 12.7% MoM, by 24% compared with January, and by 11% YoY.

In January-March imports grew by 16.7% YoY, to 663.1 thousand tons.

Sections and bars accounted for 44% of the imports, including 47% of construction bars and wire rod. These imports decreased by 8.1% and by 21% YoY respectively.

At the same time the delivery of the flat rolled steel grew by 45%, with the share reaching 36%. Deliveries of steel semi-finished products increased 1.9-fold, to 18%. Steel pipes imports fell 2-fold, to 1.3%. (Ukrainian metal)
