Highland Gold Mining has postponed the commissioning of the Kekura gold ore deposit in Chukotka from 2021 to 2023.

Last year the reserves were estimated at 2 million ounces of gold with the average content of 7 g per ton.

According to the development plan, in the first 8 years of operation the average gold output will total 172 thousand ounces per year, and in the next 8 years – 46 thousand ounces.

The capacity of the factory is expected to reach 800 thousand tons of ore, with a later drop to 300 thousand tons per year.

Despite the postponing of the project, investments will not change and total $229 million. (Ukrainian metal)
