The Norilsk Nickel Investment committee has approved of projects to decrease pollution and improve environment situation at the Monchegorsk site of the Kola Iron and Steel Company.
In particular, the fourth technological system of the sulfur acid shop will be modernized, and the electric filters in the dust-exhausting department of the refining shop will be replaced.
Investments in the project will total 6.2 billion rubles.
The 4th system was put out of operation in 2000. (Ukrainian metal)
