This year BMZ the managing company of the Belarus Iron and Steel Works intends to increase its presence on the African continent.
In January-February exports to Africa exceeded 57 thousand tons, or 15% in the total exports.
In order to strengthen its position, in early March BMZ held negotiations with potential customers from Senegal, as well as Nigeria, Chad, Mali and Mauritania.
In 2016 MBZ shipped 89 thousand tons of metal to Africa, in 2017 – 209 thousand tons and in 2018 – 236 thousand tons.
BMZ has been exporting metal to Africa since 1998. (Ukrainian metal)
