The Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to hold a number of meetings with the management of the major metal companies to discuss a potential embargo on the steel scrap export.
According to a ministry representative, the issue has to do with the trend to limit the export of scrap as a product of the lowest added valued.
“The export of such products shows that the domestic resource sphere is a raw materials source on the international arena”, the ministry said. (Ukrainian metal)
