Almalyk Mining and Processing Works, using new technique, has obtained palladium.
Previously the works was obtaining palladium powder. The technique, consisting of 52 steps and lasting for 70 hours, allowed obtaining less than 1 kg of palladium per month.
Last year the enterprise started studying obtaining palladium from the electrolyte solution as well as refined palladium in powder and ingot forms. The result was the creating of a unique laboratory.
Since November 2018, it has been testing a new technique consisting of 16 steps and lasting for 24-26 hours. It increased palladium output 2-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
