In January Electrostal in Donetsk region was still idle.
In January 2018 the company produced 27 thousand tons of continuous cast billet.
In December 2018 the company was also idle, but in November it produced 12 thousand tons of billets and in October – 33 thousand tons.
The reason of such a situation is the growth of scrap prices, which makes the manufacture unprofitable.
In 2018 Electrostal produced 289 thousand tons of continuous cast billet, down by 34.2% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
