In 2018 the ChTPZ pipes enterprises – Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Works and Pervouralsky Novotrubniy Works – sold 1.92 million tons of pipes, down by 3.7% YoY.
The decrease is due to the completion of large diameter pipes deliveries for the Nord Stream-2 construction.
Deliveries to the Russian market grew by 1.2%, to 1.42 million tons, including 430.7 thousand tons of large diameter pipes (+12%), 319.5 thousand tons of compressor-pump pipes (+14%), and 465.2 thousand tons of seamless hot-rolled linear and industrial pipes (-12%). The deliveries of OCTG grew by 9.2%, to 405 thousand tons.
Exports dropped by 15%, to 498.5 thousand tons. At the same time deliveries to CIS-countries grew by 49.8%, to 224.8 thousand tons, including 48.8 thousand tons of large diameter pipes (+42.7%). (Ukrainian metal)
