At its manufacturing site in Verkhnyaya Salda in Sverdlovsk region, VSMPO-Avisma has commissioned a new site of bulk titanium rings treatment.
Such rings are used in aviation engines.
In 2018 the Fund of the industry development supported the corporation and provided it with 70 million rubles, with 30 million rubles more given by the Fund of the technological development of the Sverdlovsk region industry.
The total cost of the project is 284 million rubles.
The money was spent to purchase the shot treatment machine and two turning-and-boring lathes to work with rings 4 meters in diameter. (Ukrainian metal)
