In January-November 2018 Russia exported 2.3 million tons of steel pipes valued at $2.46 billion, up by 23% and by 38.4% YoY respectively.

According to the customs statistics, Finland remains the leading importer, having purchased 19.7% of all pipes. Still exports to Finland fell by 23.5% YoY.

Kazakhstan holds the share of 17.5%, up by 25%. Turkey is next with 12.7%, up by 53%.

Large diameter pipes for the construction of Nord Stream-2 and Turkish Stream account for 97% of Finnish and Turkish imports. (Ukrainian metal)
