In 2018 Zaporizhstal increased steel production by 4.6% YoY, to 4.105 million tons.
According to the company statement, pig iron manufacture grew by 15.6%, to 4.386 million tons, and rolled metal – by 10%, to 3.537 million tons.
In December 2018 Zaporizhstal produced 358 thousand tons of pig iron, 344.1 thousand tons of steel and 273.9 thousand tons of rolled metal, all down by 2.1%, 3.8% and 7.4% YoY respectively,
The decrease has to do with the capital repair of the blast furnace No. 4. Investments in the project totaled 100 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
