ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has put into operation a complex of the closed cooling of the used converter gas at three converters (Nos. 4, 5, 6).
The cost of the project is 192 million UAH.
As a result of the project the consumption of the chemically purified and de-aerated water for evaporation will decrease from 672 thousand cubic meters per year to 200 thousand.
Only 9 pumps are used now instead of 15, and their electricity consumption dropped.
The project is expected to let the company save 100 million UAH per year. (Ukrainian metal)
