The Severniy-Glubokiy mine of Kola Iron and Steel Company has carried out the first stage of rock mining to the depth of 440 meters.
The cost of the project is 2 billion rubles.
The new horizon will be in development at least until 2050.
The construction of the mine started in 2001.
It reached its design capacity of 6 million tons of ore per year in 2010. (Ukrainian metal)
