In 2019 Norilsk Nickel expects a moderate nickel price growth.
“Today nickel and palladium are in shortage, while copper and platinum are close to the balance. In mid-term we expect nickel and palladium prices to be higher. In long-term platinum should also become more expensive. As to the copper – we don’t expect a sharp change in the cost”, Nornickel marketing dirNorilsk Nickel ector Anton Berlin noted.
Next year the company expects the world nickel deficit to amount to 60 thousand tons, copper – 90 thousand tons, and palladium – 1.4 million ounces. The market of platinum will see a surplus of 0.4 million ounces. (Ukrainian metal)
