Mechel has signed an agreement on cooperation with one of the largest Japanese trading companies – Itochu Corporation.
According to the document, in December 2018 – March 2020 Mechel will supply 800 thousand tons of coking and power-generating coal to Itochu.
The coal will be shipped from the Yuzhniy Kuzbass and Elgaugol enterprises.
“Our long-term cooperation with Itochu is reaching a new level. Expanding cooperation will help us strengthen our positions on the Asian Pacific market”, Mechel-Mining CEO Pavel Shtark noted. (Ukrainian metal)
