In November Ukrmetallurgprom forecast that Ukraine would manufacture 1.8 million tons of pig iron and steel each, as well as 1.6 million tons of rolled metal.

But the output was 1.64 million tons of pig iron, 1.66 million tons of steel and 1.48 million tons of rolled metal, all down by 8%, 7% and 3% MoM respectively.

The decrease is due to the scheduled repairs of the main machines at the major manufacturing works.

In January-November Ukraine also produced 55.25 million tons of iron ore concentrate, flat YoY, 28.95 million tons of sinter, up by 3%, 19.58 million tons of pellets (up by 8%), 9.9 million tons of bulk coke, up by 5%, 18.73 million tons of pig iron, up by 5%, 19.21 million tons of steel, up by 1%, 16.84 million tons of rolled metal, up by 3%, and 1.02 million tons of pipes, up by 6%.
