The Ukrainian rolled wire has become an alternative to the Chinese products, previously used when manufacturing railroad brake shoes.
According to ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, in October it shipped the first batch of metal products of 20 tons to the Tribo plant, the only manufacturer of brake shoes in Ukraine.
To produce brake shoes the plant has started using AMKR rolled wire of SAE1008 grade.
The total volume of rolled wire deliveries from AMKR could total up to 1 thousand tons annually. (Ukrainian metal)
