Antidumping duties on galvanized rolled metal from Russia and China could be introduced in December already.

On October 3 the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade initiated an antidumping investigation on the import of rolled metal with corrosion-resistant coating from the two countries.

The results will be known only in a year, but the legislation allows the officials imposing the preliminary duties of up to 6 months 60 days after the start of the investigation, that is in December.

In 2015-2017 galvanized metal imports from Russia and China grew by 51%.

Experts say there is a high probability of imposing a 25% duty on Chinese metal and 13% on Russian. (Ukrainian metal)
