As a result of explosion late on November 10, the largest metal enterprise of Kazakhstan – ArcelorMittal Temirtau – has almost completely shut down its manufacture.

The blast furnace No. 3 is currently under repair, while the operation of the blast furnaces Nos. 2 and 4 is limited.

The press service of the company declined to comment on the accident and damages.

At the same time sources noted that in addition to the crane, some 6 km of pipes and over 10 lm of cable products had been damaged.

Because of the collapse of the air duct and the oxygen pipeline in the converter shop, there was an explosion resulting in the fall of the bridge crane and the damages to the shop premises. Fortunately there were no casualties. (Ukrainian metal)
