Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine has started capital repairs of the converter No. 1 with the replacement of the waste-heat boiler.
The length of the repair is expected to be 55 days, while usually it takes 80 days.
The repair will be carried out under an agreement to improve environment in town of Kamenskoye.
The repair of the converter No. 2 also with the replacement of the boiler has already been completed. According to the estimations, harmful emissions have fallen to 50 mg per cubic meter. (Ukrainian metal)
