The underground strike of the miners from the mine named after Kapustin has been going on for over a week.
The miners are demanding the clearing of salary debts and firing the Lisichanskugol management.
At present 26 miners are striking, 7 have already been taken to the hospital.
“They are going on a hunger strike, but the minister of energy and coal industry does not care”, a people’s deputy Sergey Shakhov said.
The strike started on October 19. At first 18 miners of the first shift remain underground, and later they were joined by 15 miners of the second shift.
The salary debt at the mine amounts to 126 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
