In January-September DTEK Energo increased gas coal output by 4.6% YoY, to 17.7 million tons.

According to the group statement, DTEK Pavlogradugol mined 14.8 million tons of coal, up by 1.1%, while the output of DTEK Dobropolyeugol grew by 27%, to 2.9 million tons.

“In the remaining three months of the year we intend to mine 6.6 million tons of gas coal more, to reach 24.3 million tons. This will help decrease anthracite imports. And the country economy will grow stronger”, the group coal sales director Mikhail Barabash said.

In September coal output reached 2.2 million tons, up by 22% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
