The converter shop of Evraz NTMK – the first converter shop in Russia – is celebrating its 55th anniversary.
Since its launch the shop has smelted 140 million tons of steel and produced 70 million tons of steel billets.
Now the converter shop boasts four 160-ton converters. It also has four ladle-furnaces and two circulatory degassers.
The shop can manufacture over 1 thousand steel grades with complex chemical composition. (Ukrainian metal)
