To bring power to the mining and processing works at the largest copper deposits in Russia a high-voltage line will be constructed.

According to the Baikal Mining Company, the Udokan deposits with the copper reserves of 27 million tons is the largest in Russia and one of the largest in the world.

The annual capacity of the first stage of the works will be 12 million tons of ore to be later increased to 48 million tons.

The commissioning of the first stage is scheduled for 2022.

The construction of the electricity line will cost 8.6 billion rubles. The line will be constructed in 2018-2021. (Ukrainian metal)
