Gold is illegally mined in Aksy district of Jalal-Abad region.
The State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety made a decision to prohibit the activities of Spektr LLC. Despite the ban, the company continues exploration on the alluvial gold deposit.
As the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, Suyuntbek Alikeyev, explained there were proceedings between two companies operating at the field.
“We have no claims to Spektr LLC. The company received license for exploration work in 2010. It was extended until December 2018,” he explained.
The committee set up an interdepartmental commission, which would study the development of the alluvial gold deposit in Aksy district. Officials intend to visit the site and sort it out. (24.kg/Ukrainian metal)
