Since the start of the year Kemerovo region has yielded 121.2 million tons of power-generating coal and 46.7 million tons of coking coal, up by 5.3% YoY.
Coal pits have yielded 108 million tons, and mines – 59.9 million tons.
In August the region mined 22.2 million tons of coal (20.3 million tons in August 2017), including 16.3 million tons of power-generating coal and 5.9 million tons of coking coal.
Coal processing at Kuzbass enterprises totaled 14.3 million tons in August, up from 13.8 million tons in August 2017. (Ukrainian metal)
