The Titanium Investments LLC subsidiary in the town of Armyansk, in the north of the Russia-occupied Crimea, the manufacturer of titanium dioxide, has shut down all of its 8 furnaces.

“The last furnace was shut down on September 9”, the company deputy CEO Andrei Dogadov said.

According to him, the water used in the manufacture is taken to the setting tank. The volume is some 44.5 thousand cubic meters per day, but it will increase to 52 thousand cubic meters.

“We’re brining in lime milk, which is mixed with phosphorous and plaster and prevents further evaporation”, Dogadov added. (Ukrainian metal)
