In July Russia produced 6.17 million tons of steel, up by 0.8% YoY, with 5.972 million tons produced in June.

In 7 months steel output totaled 42.094 million tons, up by 2.2% YoY.

Ukraine, which has already withdrawn from CIS, increased steel output in July by 11.4% YoY, to 1.629 million tons, with 1.711 million tons produced in June. In January-July Ukraine produced 12.206 million tons, up by 2.9% YoY.

Kazakhstan manufactured 390 thousand tons of steel in July, down by 7.8% YoY, with 370 thousand tons produced in June. In 7 months output grew by 0.5% YoY, to 2.681 million tons.

In July Belarus produced 225 thousand tons of steel, up by 34.7% YoY, with 220 thousand tons produced in June. In January-July steel output totaled 1.371 million tons, up by 3.9% YoY.

Steel output in Uzbekistan in July increased by 15.4% YoY, to 60 thousand tons (as in June). In 7 months Uzbekistan produced 398 thousand tons of steel, up by 6.4% YoY.

Moldova increased steel output by 50% YoY in July, to 60 thousand tons, with 55 thousand tons produced in June. In January-July Moldova produced 367 thousand tons of steel, up by 90.2% YoY.

All in all, the CIS countries in July produced 8.72 million tons of steel, up by 3.5% YoY, with 8.388 million tons produced in June. In 7 months steel output totaled 59.117 million tons, up by 2.6% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
