By 2020 Sredneuralsky Copper-Smelting Works will have replaced 10 electrostatic precipitators, which have been operating since 1970s, with 5 new ones made by Kondor-Eco.

The first three precipitators will be supplied in December, and the last two in early 2019.

The new equipment will decrease dust content in converter gases 10-fold, as well as water usage to clean gases 3-fold.

At present the dust content in converter gases is 1 g per cubic meter, but after modernization it will be 0.1 g. The decrease of the number of equipment will also decrease electricity and maintenance expenses.

In 2 years SUMZ intends to invest 183 million rubles in the project, with 25.5 million rubles to be spent this year. (Ukrainian metal)
