UGMK CEO Andrei Kozitsyn and Ultramar LLC chairman Andrei Bonch-Bruyevich have signed an agreement on a joint production of ammonium sulfate with the capacity of 500 thousand tons per year on the basis of Sredneuralsky Copper-Smelting Works.
Investments will reach 4.8 billion rubles.
The decision has been taken in view of optimal raw materials provision, as the company own sulfuric acid will be used.
SUMZ will be able to sell 380 thousand tons of acid per year.
Construction will begin in late 2020. Some 50 jobs will be created. (Ukrainian metal)
