Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Works has sent the first trial batch of gold-containing gravity concentrate weighing 8 tons to the city of Norilsk for further processing.

The works is preparing the second batch of 12 tons.

The first samples of gravity concentrate were obtained in Q1.

BGOK was constructed by Norilsk Nickel in a hard-to-reach part of the Zabaikalye region in late 2017. In spring the enterprise started shipping copper and magnetite concentrate to China.

When BGOK reaches design capacity it will be able to produce some 3 million tons of magnetite concentrate, 260 thousand tons of copper concentrate and 9.5 million troy ounces of gold per year. (Ukrainian metal)
