Mechel has prolonged the contract to supply coal to Baosteel Resources, a part of China Baowu Steel.
The new agreement is valid till June 2019.
Within this period Mechel will ship 700 thousand tons of premium grade coking coal to China – up to 40 thousand tons each month.
The price will be set on a monthly basis.
The share of Russian coking coal in Chinese imports reaches 7%. (Ukrainian metal)
