In June Russia produced 6.12 million tons of steel, up by 8.9% YoY (6.077 million tons in May). In 6 months steel manufacture increased by 2.8% YoY, to 36.066 million tons.
Ukraine increased output by 7.5% YoY, to 1.711 million tons (1.695 million tons) and produced 10.391 million tons of steel in 6 months, up by 1.5%.
Steel output in Kazakhstan in June dropped by 4.9% YoY, to 389 thousand tons (390 thousand tons). In January-June manufacture reached 2.291 million tons, up by 2.1%.
Belarus produced 220 thousand tons of steel in June, up by 0.9% (225 thousand tons) and 1.146 million tons in 6 months, down by 0.6% YoY.
In Uzbekistan 60 thousand tons of steel were produced in June, up by 3.4% (65 thousand tons), as well as 338 thousand tons in January-June, up by 5% YoY.
Moldova produced 55 thousand tons of steel in June, up by 27.9% YoY (60 thousand tons in May), increasing output in H1 by 100.7% YoY, to 307 thousand tons.
In June CIS countries produced 8.536 million tons of steel, up by 7.8% YoY (8.512 million tons in May), and 50.539 million tons in 6 months, up by 2.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
