Metalloinvest has put into operation the heat-treatment furnace No. 1 – the rolling quench machine No. 1 at Ural Steel.
The cost of the project was 1.2 billion rules.
Last year the company received a 10-year loan from ING Bank (the Netherlands) for 11.5 million euro to finance the project.
The machine will increase the capacity of the heat-treatment furnace from 28.6 tons to 30.7 tons of steel per hour.
Thus, in the next 10 years the company will increase its heat-treated plate output 3-fold, and bridge steel – by 39%. (Ukrainian metal)
