Evraz and the Russian Railroads have launched the system of electronic workflow.
Each month Evraz sends to RZhD some 300 packets of paper documents. Each packet has dozens of documents. The switch to the electronic workflow will decrease time to prepare and send the primary documents from 8 to 1-2 days.
The process took around a year. During this time both sides have created electronic storages of certificates, improved the QR-code reading system and implemented a number of IT solutions.
At present the electronic workflow is used for rail products only. But in future the companies intend to implement the electronic workflow on tyre and wheel products as well. (Ukrainian metal)
