Some 400 tons of 20P channel made of S355 steel at Evraz NTMK were shipped by Evraz Metal Inprom for the construction of the wintering complex of the Russian Antarctic Station “Vostoc”.
The channel was shipped in December 2019 – January 2020.
The channel was specifically made to withstand the temperature of minus 60 degrees Celsius.
The station is expected to be commissioned in 2023. (Ukrainian metal)
