Uralelectromed has mastered the manufacture of wire rod with the diameter of 10 mm. So far the company has been producing only 8-mm wire rod.
The suggestion to produce this wire rod came from the Cable Alliance Holding, and the contract for the pilot batch of wire rod was concluded. As a result UEM shipped some 250 tons of 10-mm wire rod to the customer.
Such copper wire rod is used to produce wire of large section.
