At present salary debts to the employees of the state coalmining enterprises amount to 406.8 million UAH and are the result of the difficult economic condition of the state coal sector.
“In 2018 we have seen no sufficient support from the state, thus now we have wage debts of over 400 million UAH”, Department of coal and industry complex director Alexander Vladichenko declared.
“In order for the state coal industry to be profitable it has to yield 18-20 thousand tons of coal per day. Because the government has not provided us with 1 billion UAH of state guarantees, we now get only 11 thousand tons of coal per day. The economic conditions were bad, but now they are even worse”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
