In January-March Ukraine produced 4.59 million tons of metal, down by 2% YoY, taking into account operation of metal enterprises in January-February 2017 on the occupied territories.
Without them metal output increased by 8% YoY.
Exports totaled 3.23 million tons, or 83.3% of the overall output, down from 85% in Q1 2017, or 3.97 million tons out of 4.67 million tons.
Semi-finished products accounted for 42.1% of exports, while those of flat rolled metal – 32.6% and long rolled metal – 25.3%.
The main sales markets in Q1 were EU countries (34.1%), North Africa (24.9%), Near East (17.6%) and other European countries, including Turkey (13.5%). (Ukrainian metal)
