The press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov has said that so far there are no ready-made scenarios to help Rusal, but a temporarily nationalization of the company could be one of the forms of state support.
“There are various views on how to help the companies affected by US sanctions. This is just one of them. But the point of view of the shareholders and owners of the company, as well as the government possibilities should be taken into account”, he added.
Earlier Alexander Shokhin, chairman of the Russian union of manufacturers and entrepreneurs, said that the government might have to buy out some shares of Rusal or other companies affected by the sanctions. (Ukrainian metal)
