The zinc production of Russia’s Chelyabinsk Zinc Works grew by 4.7%, to 183,002 tons in 2017, the company said in a statement on March 27.
Output of zinc and zinc concentrate by the company’s Kazakh subsidiary Nova Zinc LLC fell to 36,530 tons in 2017 from 36,718 tons in 2016, while its production of lead and lead concentrate fell to 4,821 tons from 5,677 tons.
The plant’s U.K. subsidiary The Brock Metal Company Limited raised sales of zinc alloys by 12.3%, to 41,461 tons in 2017. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
