Pobuzhye Ferronickel Plant is pondering the creation of its own fleet of cargo railroad open cars.

According to the company CEO Oleg Bespalov, at present it uses Ukrzaliznytsia open cars and faces their shortage.

“It’s not a big deal at the moment, but in future we would like to have a wagon fleet of our own”, he said.

PFK demand for rolling stock is estimated at 300 open cars. The company intends to buy Ukraine-made wagons.

“We have found a local plant and intend to work with it”, Bespalov noted, adding that in 2017 the company purchased one locomotive. (Ukrainian metal)
