Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works has put into operation new machinery in the high-strength wire shop.
The modernization allowed the company to stop using acid in wire manufacture, decrease industrial wastewater volume 8-fold and considerably increase its purification.
BMK began the project in 2015.
Investments totaled 200 million rubles.
Two new industrial lines made by Promostar (Italy) were the final stage.
The high-strength wire shop manufactures products for ferroconcrete structures and sleepers, spring wire for machine-builders as well as wire for construction industry. The shop provides for 25% of BMK metal wares output. (Ukrainian metal)
