Interpipe reports the shortage of employees in the pipe and wheel manufacture, with the combined need at 600 people.
“We already see financial losses due to the absence of the employees. We cannot make the full shift at our plant in Nikolayev. I estimate the losses because of the lack of employees at 5 thousand tons in output in January-February”, the company CFO Denis Morozov said.
According to him the situation with the search for personnel has even worsened.
“Poland, like a vacuum cleaner, sucks all the employable population. At present metal and machine-building companies are competing not with each other, but with Poland”, he added.
Morozov noted that Interpipe increased salary every year. The average income exceeded 9200 UAH in December 2017.
In early January Interpipe announced an additional hiring of 300 people into its wheel shop.
At the same time, according to the sources, the average salary of some managers at Interpipe reaches 325 thousand UAH per month. (Ukrainian metal)
